Are transition lenses any good? ?!
Question: Are transition lenses any good!? !?
I'm getting new glasses next week and I need your opinion!. How much do they cost extra to get them done!?
My friend's parent got them and he said that because he got the transition lenses the glasses got "weaker" and he had to resort to his old pair to see!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm on my 3rd pair of transition lens and I love them!.
It did take awhile to get used to them!. I had to learn to move my eyes rather than my head to find the correct place and in the beginning I felt like a bobble head!
What I would suggest is to not get the frames too small!. I did that the first time and it was much better the next time when I went with a bit bigger frame!.
My frames, transition lens and protective coating cost me $420 and that was from Lens Crafters in Ontario Canada!. Because of the medical plan I have, they deducted 30% off the price and my insurance covered the rest!.
I also just got my first pair of transition sunglasses and they are awesome! What a difference!!

When I wear glasses (I have contacts now as well) i have the transitions lenses!. I love them!. I got them because I lost a pair of prescription sunglasses and never wanted to do that again!. They are also great when you are driving and suddenly get into a place in which the sun is in your eyes!. They just naturally adjust to the light conditions for you and you never have to take your eyes off the road to grab a pair of sunglasses and put them on while driving!. they are more expensive, but I think that for those who wear glasses they are worth the money!. Just wish my contacts were like that!
BTW, helpful hint, if you get transitions lenses for your glasses--put them in the freezer the first night you get them and do that from time to time!. It will make them get very dark when you go out in the sun!. Somehow the cold temperature on the lenses makes them get darker!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
