My new contacts are messed up?!

Question: My new contacts are messed up!?
Here's the deal: I've had astigmatisms in both eyes!. I used to wear normal contacts about 2 or 3 years ago and they were fine, but now I went to a new place to get contacts and they prescribed me the acuvue astigmatism contacts!. Anyway I've been wearing the trial pair and the second day in, I had to go back to my glasses, because they were blurry and hurt my eyes!. I also developed headaches while wearing them!. The doctor told me to wear them for a week then told me to come back so he could make sure everything was alright, but I can't stand wearing them for more than a few minutes before I get a headache!. I don't want to give up on contacts and afraid I'll have to, because this new place is the only one that I can go to that my insurance covers contacts and money is really tight right now!. Is it possible that the regular ones will be better!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ok this is serious! Your contacts should NEVER be blurry and should NEVER give you a headache!. Go to the optometrist immediately and have them take a second look at your prescription!. Or call to verify that the prescription they gave you matches what your eye doctor prescribed!.

I had a similar situation a few years ago!. I also have astigmatism!. I was given a new set of lenses, and when I put them in, they were blurry and gave me a headache!. I couldn't see and they made me dizzy! It was TERRIBLE! I went to the optometrist (wearing my GLASSES) with my box of contact lenses!. I explained that there was something wrong and handed the box over!. They checked the prescription and realized that they had accidentally given me regular lenses instead of toric lenses (for astigmatism)!. Maybe your situation is the same!.!.!.!? Call them, go there!. Do whatever you can! You shouldn't have to give up on your contacts, so don't worry!. The office probably messed something up!.

Good luck!

***One more thing, toric lenses (for astigmatism) are slightly larger than regular contacts!. So they will feel a little uncomfortable for the first couple of days until your eyes get used to them!. After that your eyelids will adjust!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should definitely go see your optometrist about that! If you were fine with the regular contacts, ask them to give you trial pairs for it, since this is a new clinic you are going to!. Try different things and you'll be sure to find the ones that will work best for you!. You could also go back to your old clinic and ask them about the contacts they gave you!.

Ha ha, what's funny is that I'm also experiencing the same thing you are!. I'm going to my optometrist tomorrow because my new contacts give me a headache as well!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

maybe you should take some advil or tyleno to cure your headaches and I think you just need to get used to them ok if they start to get blurry close your eye for a minute and massage your temples and keep clam Www@Answer-Health@Com
