Some questions about contact lenses?!
Question: Some questions about contact lenses!?
I got my first pair of contacts last week after 12 years of wearing glasses and I've got a few questions, being new to the whole thing:
(Acuvue Oasis lenses w/ Opti-Free cleaning system)
Daily wear disposable; change every 14 wearings
1!. What is the maximum time one can wear contact lenses!? My optometrist said to work up to 10 hours a day, which I have by now, and keep it at 10 hours "for now"!. Can my doctor or I increase it to 12!? (I normally wouldn't care, but I'm usually up late nights and would like those two extra hours!.)
2!. Are contacts supposed to be felt when they are in your eye, because when I look a certain way I can fell something is in there!. It doesnt hurt or anything, I just!.!.!.feel it!.
3!.I know your not supposed to get water in your eye with them in, but is it ok to go in the pool and stay above, not underwater!? What about showering with them in!?

yes, you can wear your lenses for 12 hours, its not recommended, and dont make a habit of it, but if youre out, dont worry about it too much!.
you really shouldnt feel your lenses at all!. sometimes there are small little specks of dust or whatever on there, either use drops, saline, or gently rub the bottom corner of your eye to produce tears and moisture to work the piece of whatever out!.
and about water, they tell you to keep water off because there are minerals in water that can stick to your lenses!. again, not a huge problem, just try not to make a habit of it!. and if the water bothers you, again just rinse with saline!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

1!. it depends on individual case, some people even wear it over 12 hours without any problem, but the others might get problem, like dry or itch, in their eyes!. So if you feel nothing uncomfortable for a longer wearing, maybe you can wear it for 12 hours!.
2!. In most of the case, you should feel nothing!. Maybe it's just because you just start to use it and/or your eyes are very sensitive!.

I have the same contacts and i love them!. Wear your contacts for 30 minutes more than the day before each day!. You can wear them for 12 hours you just have to give you eyes a rest!. If you can feel your contacts they could be inside out or defective!. You should try on a new pair and if that doesn't work you should get re-sized at the doctor!. You really are not supposed to wear them in the shower but i do it sometimes and nothing happens!. If you want to wear them in the pool you can but don't get them wet!.
