Question: Will the docs give me contacts even though i had surgery!?
one july 22nd i had a corneal transplant
and last time they said they dont want to give me any
but i wont tolerate it
i want to wear them in my good eye
i still have one contact lense left that i have worn and WILL wear until i get more
i know about the chances of getting blind but i want to take chances
anyway, wed i go and if i tell them ITS MY CHOICE AND I WANT TO TAKE CHANCES, DO YOU THINK THEY WILL LET ME GET SOME!?

Well, I understand your point, but the doctors in this country are responsible for the decisions that they make for patients when it comes to medical appliances!. Contacts are considered medical appliances by the FDA!. They take a prescription from a doctor!. So, all the money and all the time studying and all the years of work they put into their license is not going to be worth your wanting to take chances!. It is not like buying a pair of too tight jeans, or getting your hair dyed a horrendous color!. Those things ARE your choice!. You might be able to wear the contacts in the future after you heal 100%!. A doctor is not going to risk your being blind in that eye after going through so much to get a healthy eye, and it be their fault legally!. If it were to be that risky I know no doctor that would just say!.!.!.!."Well it is your choice to make me irresponsible!.!.!.!.here ya go!" I mean really, talk to your doctor and ask when you can safely wear the contacts and then go from there!. Somehow I doubt you will get a Dr!. to do something he doesn't think is in your best interest!.
Even if you don't care about your eyes, the Dr!. cares!.
Why would any Dr!. put his licence on the line!.
