Question: How can a prove my parents that I'm responsible for contacts!?
Okay!. I am a young 13 years old!. My parents think I'm extreme irresponsible!. Due to that fact, my parents won't let me get contacts!. They think I'm going to kill my eyes or something!. They said to stick with glasses - but trust me I'm look so ugly with them, plus I find glasses extremely uncomfy!. So how can I prove my parents that I'm responsible!? hey, trust me i know where your coming from! im 13, too and i just got contacts today, after months of begging my parents!. i looked ok in glasses, but i did not want to deal with them anymore!.
lemme just say this first!. Unless u r willing to devote a lot of time to practicing taking out and putting in your contacts, they will be useless!. i spent an hour and a half at the doctors today trying to get the hang of putting em in and taking em out, and only did it 3 times!. it is hard, especially if your like me who doesnt like the idea of sticking your finger in your eye, let alone PINCHING it to get them out!. but if your all willing to not give up and persist, like i did today, heres what you should do!.
My mom did not want me to get contacts cuz she had an eye infection when she first got hers, and almost lost her vision!. she told me this, and she was scared that it would happen to me!. tell them you will be responsible, cuz it sounds like you really want them!. tell them your willing to practice and youll wash your hands, be careful, etc!. you could even chipin an amout for the first pair!. then theyll no you really want em!.

Well, scientifically speaking, you aren't too young for contact lenses!. Kids younger than you wear them!. However, it is a big responsibility, and you have to be sure you can handle it!.
I would say that you should do some more research on contact lenses!. Read up on all the things you have to do (it's not just putting them in, taking them out and cleaning them)!. If you think you can handle all of that stuff, tell that to your parents!.
If you know that you can handle everything that comes with having contacts, show your parents what you've learned, and tell them you can do it!. The only way to prove to your parents that you can do it is to actually do it!. Get some more information on contacts - show them that unless you jab yourself in the eye, or leave them in for weeks on end or never clean them you won't kill your eye!. Offer to try cheap dailys (ones you wear for a day and throw out) - then they don't have to worry that you'll leave it in, or not clean it enough!.
And sit down and have that adult conversation!. ASK them how can you show you're more responsible!.

Make your bed!. Do your homework!. Put your dirty dishes in the dishwasher!. Wash the dishes!. Don't leave your clothes, shoes, stuff lying around the house!. Cut the grass!. Take out the garbage!. Do your own laundry!. Keep your room tidy!. Don't lose or damage your possessions!. Shower!. Get out of bed in the mornings!. Go to bed on time!.

how bout u ask them to sit down and have an adult conversation!. let them know that u know that contacts are a big responsibilty and uve researched it!. b like to them i feel that it is time that i at least gave it a try and would appreciate it if u guys supported me!. but say it like u would say it, in ur own words!. It's not that hard to handle contacts!. You just have to make sure you keep your hands clean when handling them and soak them in contact solution every night to clean and disinfect them from wearing them the whole day!. Tell them it's really safe as long as you do these two simple tasks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
