I personally prefer contacts over eyeglasses!. I wear both of them!. If you have prescription contacts!. then you need to have eyeglasses as a backup when contacts can't be worn!.
Contacts and eyeglasses have their advantages and disadvantages!.
Contacts
Advantages:
1) Peripheral vision
2) Easier to use with an active lifestyle
3) natural appearance
4) less minification/magnification (objects appear closer to normal size)
Disadvantages
1) additional maintenance required to ensure eyes stay healthy
2) additional time to insert lenses
3) eye are more prone to infection
4) dry eyes
Eyeglasses
Advantages
1) Less maintenance, you can put them on and leave
2) Glasses can be a great fashion accessory
3) Eyeglasses can be made with anti-reflective/glare coating
Disadvantages
1) Glasses get dirty really easily
2) They leave indentations on your nose
3) Peripheral vision is not as good!.
I know there are plenty more in each category!. If you are looking into getting contact lenses!. I suggest checking them out and seeing for yourself!. They are not for everyone, but you will never know unless you try!.

I wear both but I prefer contacts playing sports and when going out but when i am at home or just at a friends house i wear glasses!. Besides school my friends hardly ever see me in contacts!!!! But I love contacts now, when i first got them i thought they were a HUGE hassle now they are easy and I can put them in and take them out faster then before!. Even going to sports i wear glasses and all the way up to my game i wear them and then game time out comes the contacts! but over all i love my contacts better then glassesWww@Answer-Health@Com

i tried contacts once!. it was my first and last time!. i hate the hassle of getting up and putting them in because im definitely not a morning person!. but i am a night owl and every time i start to feel sleep its like 4 am and then i have to go and remove them and it sucked!. i only wore them because my glasses broke and i was waiting for the new ones to come in!. i usually only wear my glasses when i look at the chalkboard in class or watch tv though!. i wear glasses, never have even put in a pair of contacts, and since my prescription is only 1!.75, i dont wear my glasses very often, i'd prefer glasses because i rub my eyes alotWww@Answer-Health@Com
i use both and i hate them both glasses cuase they dont let you play sports rub your eyes when you take them off you cant see!. contacts you have to put them on every day!. are sensitive clean them!. just get laser eye surgery way better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
