Question: Help my eye lid is swollen what cani do do make it go down!?
I wear makeup and sometimes i forget to wash it off before bed and i think i got a little cyst on my eye lid its swollen and it hurts and i have to go somewhere tonight what can i do!?!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

its called a stye!. hot compresses make the sweliing and pain go down!. its nothing serious; just buildup of bacteria!. i reccommend heating water on the stove, and dippping facecloths in it every time the facecloth loses some heat!. don't keep them too hot though, you might get buned! if it doesnt go away, see your eye doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Usually some over the counter cream put under the eyelid or even warm water on a handkerchief will help to get rid of it!.
Usually Rachel is right and they go away but sometimes not so be careful!. If it gets very painful, purple and starts getting bigger then it is an infection which can damage your optic nerve, make you blind and requires antibiotics!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
