Contacts become blurry when I see something up close?!

Question: Contacts become blurry when I see something up close!?
Whenever I see something up close it becomes blurry but when its far away I see perfectly fine!. I already tired 3 different brands and they still do the same thing!. I have a astigmatism and I'm 15 and I have a pretty high prescription it's like -7!.50!. Is it the brand or what!? This is the first time I wear contacts and I've worn glasses for about 9 years!. Please help!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
If your contacts have a correction for astigmatism you may be having a problem with inconsistent rotation of the lens!. When a person looks at something up close both eyes rotate inward toward the nose!. In some people this causes the contact lens to interact differently with the lids when the eyes are looking at near compared to distance!. This change in rotation of the position of the contact can cause blurring of vision!.

This may be an insurmountable problem!. If you haven't yet tried the Acvuvue Oasys Astigmatism lens you might give it a try!. It is one of the most stable lenses I have found!. Good luck!.

Edit: The fact that you are 15 makes it highly unlikely that your problem is associated with the need for a bifocal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

People that are highly nearsighted like us need the correction for far away, not close up!. Many can still read a book without glasses - I know I could before I developed astigmatism too!. With glasses, it is easier to take them off or look underneath the frame to read!. With the lens on the eye it is not possible!. Just don't bring the object too close (move it out about 8 or 9 inches from the nose) and you should be okay!. Otherwise, you may need to consider bifocals (yes, younger folks need them too sometimes!!!)Www@Answer-Health@Com
