after i turned out the light in my room i had a dark spot in the center of my vision after a few minutes it was fine is this normal

If you were looking directly at the light before turning it off then, yes, this is normal!. The brightness of the light bleached out the photochemicals in the macula ( central portion of your retina used to look directly at objects of interest) and it takes a few minutes for the chemicals to "recharge" so that the macula can see better in darkness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
