As an optician I have had the opportunity to ask my optometrist about this before!. It typically is nothing to worry about!. In most cases, as mentioned below, it can be caused by stress, lack of sleep, heavy computer use without resting the eyes, too much caffeine!. I have had this occur and concluded it was due to most of the above!. I have been told applying warm water and a wash cloth can help relax the lid muscles and help reduce the twitching!. It generally lasts a week or two and will go away on its own!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stress can cause this, but also eye strain - if you are squinting a lot and not realizing it because of an undiagnosed (and untreated) eye disorder, you may see it happen a lot!

I had that happen often just after starting a heavy-computer-use job, and glasses erased the problem completely!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

my eye does that for about a minute about once a week its just a muscle spasm!. no biggie!. if its happing alot throughout the day i would see a doctor just to make sure theres nothing wrong but if its only happening once in a while i wouldnt worry!. its just like sometimes your leg might twitch alittle Www@Answer-Health@Com

You could!. Sometimes a lack of potassium will do that!. If it doesn't go away in a day, I'd go see a doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yea, probably stress!. Mine did that for weeks one time, off and on, but it went away!. I don't think it's anything serious!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

That happens to me when I get stressed out!. Maybe that is what is going on with you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Stress and lack of sleep!. Happens to me too!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
