Question: My eyesight aparently is 20/40, READ below!?
i went to apply for my drivers license, so they checked my eyes,
anyways they told me that my eye sight i 20/40
is this good!?
do i need glasses or contacts!?
anyways, i think they might of made a mistake, because i can see clearly
i think that i might go to a eye doctor and double check
what do you think!?

20/40 is only half as sharp as a nominal normal person can see: 20/20
(though many people can actually do a bit better than that)
Think if it as a fraction!.!.!. 20 over 40 = 1/2!.
If you've not had an eye test recently, it may surprise you to find out how much better you could be seeing, than the vision you think is clear!.
You'd tend to think your kitchen knife was OK, until you got your hands on a sharp one!.!.!. Then you might realise how blunt it actually was!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes do go to an eye doctor, because no offense, the DOL is not exactly the most qualified to make those decisions!. Anyways, my right eye is 20/20 and my left eye is 20/50 - I dont need contacts but since my right eye is perfect, together they allow me to see clearly even though the left is a bit off!.
