When to Clean Contacts?!
Question: When to Clean Contacts!?
I just got contacts, and I need to know when I should clean my contacts: when i take them out or before i put them in!? Does it matter!? should i wash when im doing both!? is it necessary!? i dont want to use the solution for uneccessary reasons cus i have to buy it with money!.!.!.Any other helpful advice!? You should actually clean them when you take them out at the end of the day!. You should put a little bit of solution in the palm of your hand, then gently rub the contact lens for 15 seconds on both sides!. The store it in fresh contact solution!.
The advantage of cleaning them at night, and not in the morning, is that rubbing then get 95% of the bacteria off, then leaving them in the solution overnight kills the rest of the bacteria!. Leaving comfortable lenses for you!
As others suggested, it does depend on what type of lenses you have, and there is also no harm in cleaning them again in the morning if they look dirty!.

as the first answerer said, it depends what type you have
if you have the 2-week or monthly ones you must clean them at least once everyday!. i usually clean them after i take them out of my eye after wearing them and if i notice them a little dirty i clean them before i put them in my eye sometimes!. either way, you must clean them or else you can risk eye damage and infections!.
don't forget to rinse out the case too with solution and don't re-use the same solution!.

What type do you have!?
If you have disposable ones, they are trashed everyday and if you have GP (gas permeable) ones, you have to clean them everytime you take them off to go to bed!.
