Question: My eye sight is 6\60 and the doctor's say it's a lazy eye!.!.what should i do!?

Has your vision changed recently withoiut you knowing!? Or has the doctor just quantififed it(given you a prescription)!? I assume your eyes were like that for a long time so no sudden trauma!. I have had a lazy eyes since I was a child but wasnt treated aggressively!. Most eye doctors think it is incurable past the critcal period of age 9 but I have heard vision therapy gives moderate success and a new tecnology called neurovision can help as well!. The most important thing to do is to take care of your good eye so don't engage in any hazardous activity i!.e!. wearing unprescribed contact lenses or such!. Try to see an opthamolgoist that has experience with amblyopia if you can!. Granted you have an eye that can be corrected at least to 20/30 then lif eshould be fairly normal!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Lazy eye is difficult to treat after the age of 6!. There can be some improvement from age 6 to 12 with aggressive therapy including glasses if needed, patching and vision therapy!. A little less improvement doing those things up to about age 16 and little to no improvement after age 16!.
