Answers:
"Eye floaters" are little ghost-like images that are best observed when looking at a light colored wall or cloudy sky, or similar background!. They are shadows or partial shadows that interrupt light on its path through the eye!. They can be caused by debris in your tear film, in which case the floaters will be moved by nearly every blink!. More bothersome are floaters in the vitreous!.

The vitreous is a gel material that fills your eye to keep it from collapsing!. Many things, including normal aging, can cause changes in the retina that cause red blood cells and other small pieces of tissue to become suspended in this gel!. That is probably what you're noticing!. Some floaters disappear with time as the body re-absorbs whatever was floating in the vitreous!. Otherwise, there is nothing short of risky surgery that would get rid of floaters in the vitreous!. I doubt any eye care professional would preform such a surgery just to get rid of a person's floaters!. (Sorry, I get them too!.)

One or two occasional floaters is not of much concern!. However, a sudden shower of floaters, especially when accompanied by flashes of light, a "curtain" or "veil" in front of your vision, or a tinge of red, floaters can be a sign of very serious eye conditions!. If this is the case, you should see an optometrist or ophthalmologist immediately!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
