I have been prescribed Mydrilate for my iritis and having read the leaflet discovered it is highly toxic if swallowed!.
I inadvertently licked my finger after applying it to my eye and am now wondering if I have ingested any and if so what will happen!?

The s amount that would have gone inyour tummy from that would be very minute!. The excess that your eye does not use drains from your tear duct, down your nasal passages and into your stomach!. I think that they are concerned if you drink the bottle, it can cause kidney and liver dammage!. But the small amount from what you say happend, and form drainage will most likely not have any ill effect on you whatsoever!. If you can call poison controll or your pharmacy you can get a professional's opinion about that, but I think it would take a heck of a lot more than that to cause any form of toxicity!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
