Doctors say im good but I do not know......?!

Question: Doctors say im good but I do not know!.!.!.!.!.!.!?
In my prescription for my eyeglasses it says
Sphere Cylinder Axis
O!.D!. -3!.00 -0!.25 15
D!.S!. -3!.25 !.0!.50 175

Ok so i've been using glasses for about more or less 5 years, and the doctors, all different say "its good" but i sometimes cannot see whats in front of me (i!.e!. in the morning i would look for my shower cap, and even tho its on the bed, i have to bend down to see better, i really feel like i cannot see anything clearly without my glasses, especially people's faces- which has contributed to my slow decline of a social life!. Well I have to visit the doctor next year, but I would really like to get contacts, however, I know NOTHING about it, except that u put in on ur cornea and take it out before sleep!.
Ok so I want hazel/light brown contacts that are really cheap but good quality and I can be able to see perfectly, and its really "cooperative" in handing and caring!.
Any Ideas!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
In my opinion, the doctors are probably telling you your vision is good because they measure what your vision is when it is corrected- whether that be with glasses or contacts!.

There are different types of contacts- hard lenses and soft lenses!. Most people that have contacts now use soft lenses!. They are generally more comfortable than hard lenses!. You are correct that they go on your cornea and you should NOT sleep in them!. Sleeping in contacts can lead to infections, which may damage your vision!. Many lenses are two week or monthly disposable lenses!. You can wear them everyday for the two weeks or month and then throw them away and get a new pair!.

When I wore soft lenses, I could feel them on my eyes, but not nearly as much as when I had hard lenses!. The soft lenses felt like an extra layer of tears!. They didn't hurt me unless I also got dust or something else in my eye!. It took some practice to learn how to get them in!. I only wore them for a few hours at first and gradually increased to all day!.

When you schedule your next eye appointment, you should let your ophthalmologist or optometrist know you are interested in getting contacts!. They can then schedule you enough time to be fit for contacts!. When I got my contacts, someone showed me how to put them in and take them out and watched me do it to make sure I was doing it right!.

I wear a contact lens in my left eye (plano, 1!.25 axis 60) and my right eye has normal vision!. Contacts lenses are easy to use and take some getting used to!. I had a difficulty time removing the lens when I first started wearing it!. I was able to insert it more easily but that took some practice as well!. The first few times you wear them, it feels like there is something in your area, but after that you do not even notice it!.

They also require more responsibility on your part to make to keep them clean!. I chose to use a contact lens because it provided a better balance in my vision!. Contacts have less minification/magnification than eyeglasses do!. I still wear eyeglasses when I need to!.

I suggest that you speak with your eye doctor to determine the best contact lens option for you!.
