Contact lense help! Please!?!

Question: Contact lense help! Please!!?
I just tried to insert some contact lenses and first of all, I couldn't find the right way (whether it was inside out or not) and my eye hurts quite a lot, but I think that may be because I have been trying to insert them for over an hour! I got close a few times!. I managed to actually get it in, but then it wouldn't stick to the eye and kept coming off again!.

Please help!.

btw- I did clean the contact, and my hands thoroughly before inserting them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes that is why your eye is hurting, if you keep trying, it will irritate your eye!. Take a break for a few hours or just try again tomorrow!.

You did good in cleaning them and washing your hands, that is very important to reduce any chances of getting an eye infection!.

Now one trick i always used to tell if it inside out or not is on some contacts they have letter or numbers on them, when you look in from the top they should read the right way!. Also if you look at it from the side is should look like a cereal bowl at the edges, if its inside out it will look like a vase and curve outward too much!.

When you go to put it in make sure you pull your eyelashes back, those usually knock the contact back out!. And make sure your head is not tilted down, if it is gravity is against you!.

Aim the contact for the middle of your eye, you need to look straight ahead if you look away it won't go on your eye, the contact is made to fit over the curve of your eye and if you look away there is no curve and the lens will fall out!. Be sure that the lens is wetter than your finger or else it will stick to your finger and not to your eye!.

I found this website that might also help!.!.!.!.

Presuming they are soft lenses i!.e!. daily disposables, to check they are the correct way round, not inside out, hold one contact on the end of your index finger, With your opposite hand, take your index finger and thumb and gently push the edges of the lense together!. If the lense makes a dish/saucer shape, the contact is inside out!. It needs to make a smooth bowl shape!. Now, once it is the right way round, keep the contact on your index finger and using your other hand hold your eye lids apart, look down towards your ear, then insert the contact in the centre of your eye!. Now close your lids look up and down with your eye still shut the contact should settle into place!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Take the lenses out, wear your glasses today, try again tomorrow!. You don't want to irritate your eyes anymore, since that could lead to eye damage!.

If the trouble persists, see your eyecare provider!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

hey!.!.!. best thing is to ask someone who has been wearing lenses to help you the first time!.!. its quite tough reading it from instructions!.!.!. so take care!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
