Answers:
"Toric" means lenses correct for astigmatism!.

Specifically, toric means the lens has two focal powers!. If you look at an upright aluminum can, you can easily see that it has a curve horizontally, but is straight up and down vertically!. Lenses get their power from being curved!. If we were to make a lens in the shape of an aluminum can, it would have power horizontally, but since it has no vertical curve, it would have no power vertically!. An eye with astigmatism has one power vertically and another power horizontally!. A large astigmatism means these two powers are far apart!. That means the eye can only be corrected by a lens that has two powers to correct the two powers of the eye: a toric lens!.

If you have glasses, they are also technically toric lensis (but there's no need to advertise this because glasses always correct for astigmatism if you have it)!. The difference is that most soft contacts are spherical power: they only have one power and don't correct for astigmatism!.

A contact lens that is good for one person is not always good for someone else!. Because of this, it's hard to say which contacts are "the best"!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

toric means theres a curve to accomodate your astigmatism, spherical is for people who dont have any astigmatism (which is a frontal curve, like a football) if you were to wear sphericals, it would be really uncomfortable, very itchy and sandy feeling!. Frequency 55 i think is the most common and comfortable, a lot of people have good luck with them but if youre not let your dr know and hell look for something that would work better for you!.
