My prescription and my lenses do not match?!

Question: My prescription and my lenses do not match!?
Hey!.!.!. I'm new in the contact lenses business so I just went to an optical store, they checked me and everything and they gave me contact lenses which are -0!.25 more!.!.!. if my prescription is L -1!.25 R -1!.0 they game me -1!.50 and -1!.25!.!.!. But I didn't hesitate to ask why!. So they said because I have small amount of astigmatism and this contacts do not correct it!. Is that right that I should wear higher number if I have astigmatism!? !? !? !?
(I know about the lenses that do correct astigmatism but they are two times more expensive and my astigmatism is very low, so I would just go with normal lenses)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
That is right!.!.!.you probably have a 0!.50 of astigmatism, so half of that is added to the sphere power , which would make them 0!.25 stronger to compensate for the astigmatism!.

That is the way it's done!.!.!.all is good!.

A 0!.50 isn't enough to need special lenses for, but is easily compensated for by doing what they did!.

A prescription like -1!.25 -0!.50 X 90!.!.!.= -1!.50 for contactsWww@Answer-Health@Com
