i got a scratch on my eye and it got infected because i forgot to take my contacts out before i went to sleep!.
when i went to the doc about it, he asked me if there was any chance that i could've been exposed to a std in the past week!. why would he ask that, what would that have to do with my eye!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yep, and by ruling out the chance of STD, can allow the optometrist to have a better chance at determining what the infective agent is!.
And therefore can treat it better and sooner!.
