Has anyone out there had any experience with Corneal Refractive Therapy?!

Question: Has anyone out there had any experience with Corneal Refractive Therapy!?
C!.R!.T!. is the contact lense you wear at night, then remove in the day to achieve 20/20 vision!.

Was your experience positive, or negative!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Corneal Refractive Therapy is actually the same thing as a quite old process called Orthokeratology!. With all the press and publicity of Laser Corneal Refractive SURGERY, those who do Orhokeratology have changed the name to make it sound more similar to the laser refractive surgeries such as LASIK and PRK!.

Think of it like this!. It is much like wearing braces!. By placing a rigid contact lens on the eye that is quite a bit flatter than the cornea, the practitioner is able to temporarily flatten the shape of the cornea as it conforms to the shape of the rigid contact lens!.

The most important word you should take from the above sentence is TEMPORARILY!. Using a lens in this manner does not free you from wearing contact lenses!. In fact it commits you to wearing the lens at night indefinitely in order to maintain the effects of the lens!. If a youngster quits wearing their retainers, the positions of their newly aligned teeth will tend to return to their original positions!. In just the same way, a person who stops wearing their nightly retainer lens will soon find their prescription returning to its earlier state!.

Don't get me wrong!. It is a proven therapy that works!. You have to decide, though, what your goals are!. If your goal is to do something with your eyes that will allow you to achieve long term independence from eyeglasses or contact lenses, then C!.R!.T!. is not what you need to do!. Only laser will do that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
