Does anyone know exactly how a glaucoma test is done?!


Question: Does anyone know exactly how a glaucoma test is done!?
i am pregnant and my optometrist assured me there was nothing serious but told me she couldn't do one of the tests because she would have to numb my eye and i was pregnant so she couldn't do that!.

would she have done the glaucoma test!? i wonder which test it was that she skipped!.

What they do is use a special chemical to numb and paralyze the eye, and then take a small pressure meter that gently presses on the surface of the eyeball to measure the pressure there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

To test for Glaucoma, the doctor puts some numbing drops in your eyes!. Then they use a device that either gently touches the cornea of your eyes, or blows a mild blast of air to determine the internal pressure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think so!. That's the only test I've had where they had to put those drops in to numb the eye!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
