Question: I left my contact in and my eye hurts!.Is it infected!?
I accidentally slept in my contacts!. When I woke up my left eye hurt and had some gunk in it!. I cleaned the gunk out and took out my contacts!. The gunk didn't return but my eye still hurt!. It was painful to keep open and teared alot!. I began feeling warm, drowsy and lightheaded!. It's been a few hours and my eye only stings a little and is still slightly red!. Should I keep my appointment with my eye doctor or not!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Wait one more day at the least, to let your eye relax!. My mum once slept with her contact in and had the same problem!. It was gone in a day!. Also, after wearing contacts for a long time, and taking them out I too feel light headed and drowsy!. If your eyes don't stop hurting after 2-3 days I would get an appointment with your optician!.

I agree with Cameron you should call your eye doctor because he/she will know your history and what type of contacts you wear!. Don't put the contacts back into your eye until you have it sorted!. Keep the lens case if you still have it because it might help the eye doctor figure out what it is!.
However, don't wait one minute longer!. The worse thing it could be is a corneal infection!. These infections, depending on the type of bug, can perforate the cornea in as little as one day!. It's better to be on the safe side!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
