Question: Is there any way to check the eyes without dialating the pupils!?
I have to go to my eye doctor tomorrow and I am nervous!. They are going to dialate my pupils with eye drops and give me blurred vision for same time (for me it's long and I am afraid that it won't wear off!.) For me, the drops last a long time so is there any other way!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, but your eye exam won't be complete and if you need a glasses prescription it won't be the most accurate!. Without dilating your eyes, your doctor won't be able to fully examine your retina (the back part of the eye that turns light into electrical signals so we can see) and make sure it is healthy in the periphery!. There are drops of varying strengths, which dilate pupils!. Some wear off in 4-6 hours, some wear off in 24 hours, some wear off in two weeks!. Ask your doctor if they could use a weaker drop!. Your doctor's answer will depend on your eyes (if you have any particular eye concerns, the color of your eyes, etc) and the way your doctor runs their practice!. There are also drops that can reverse the effects of dilation (only effective on certain dilating drops)!. I've had these and they sting a lot!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
