There are a number of possibilities!. First of all, you would likely get irritation due to protein buildup, and quite possibly an infection/allergic reaction to the protein!. More seriously, you may begin to get neo-vascularization - basically the growth of blood vessels onto your cornea, as not enough oxygen is getting through!. This can lead to blindness!.

Your eyes would dry up, despite using eye drops, the eye would be too deprived of oxygen!. It would begin to get very sore, red and itchy!. After that you'd likely get an eye infection within a few days which if untreated could blind you!.

Okay don't ever do this!. This could lead to the rupture of the retina and you wouldn't be able to wear contacts later on!. What could also happen is that your eye doesn't receive the right amount of Oxygen and can lead to other serious illnesses in your eye!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
I tried that and got a nasty oozy infection!. My eye was bloodshot for weeks!. I couldn't look at the light, either; it was really painful!. Obviously I couldn't wear my contacts until it went away as well!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
