MEWDS anyone have it or know someone who does?!
Question: MEWDS anyone have it or know someone who does!?
Well, when I was 12 I was diagnosed with MEWDS (Multiple Evanescent White Dot Syndrome) which is a very rare condition of the eye that causes very weird symptoms like seeing smoke or clouds that really aren't there and also seeing the after glow of looking at a bright light and looking away (but it's there all the time)!.
Anyone else here been diagnosed with this condition or do you know anyone that has!? Do you know of possible treatment!? Anything else I should know!?
I am 19 now and I went to see the eye doctor again and tells me I need to see a retina specialist but this guy only comes once a month and is really expensive (I live in the Bahamas and he is the only retina specialist where I live)!.

I'm glad you gave the description because I know (of) the condition but I've never heard of that acronym!.
"Visual Snow" is the less clinically impressive but, at least to me, more familiar term!.
There is also some overlap, perhaps, with what is termed "persistent migraine aura" though the symptoms described there don't really match those of classic migraine visual effects: they are much nearer to what you describe!.
