My fiance has a "blood clot" in her eye, is it serious?!

I'm really worried, she told me she has a blood clot in her eye, in the white area under the retna (colored part, or whatever it's called), however she wears contacts and she thinks it's from that but, I don't know!. I don't know the size, I haven't seen it!. She's being kind of shy about going to the doctor or optician, I'm just really worried!. Just today she said she has a headache and I'm afraid it's from the clot!? I'm just scared as hell, could she go blind!? She also says it hurts, is it serious!? She seems fine but she told me in a text "Im sorry ok I dont feel good my head is hurting and i cant see that well" is this because of the clot thing!?
