Question: What to expect at a eye exam for contact lenses!?
I am getting contacts soon (less than a week) and i want to know what i should expect to happen!. What exactly happens during a contact lens fitting!? Do they check the size of your eye and curve and sutff!? How!.!.!.with what tools!? also, what's going to happen after the exam is over!.!.!.do i get to try contacts on right after or do i have to revisit so that they can get the rigth size and shape contacts!? In other words, would they necessarily have the contacts for my size in their inventory or do they have to order them and i have to go again!? also, my optometrist i believe gives a month of contacts, but i think they charge for it!.!.!.instead could i print out a coupon for a free trial pair from acuvue!? can i print out more than one!? also, how long does it take before i get used to the contacts!? Will i eventually be able to put contacts in really quickly!? when!? also, how does it feel when you first put contacts on and do you know any tricks for putting them in with ease!? best answer gets 10points

The eye exam is the same!. The drs assistant will put in a pair of contacts and show you the correct way to put them in and take them out!. Then he/she will make you take them in and out about 4 times!. Don't get discouraged and take your time!. It took me a total of an hour!. 20 mins later you'll go back into the exam room and make sure the contacts are fitted properly against your eye!. Make sure you listen to what the dr tells you about your contacts!. It took me about a week to get use to putting them in and taking them out!. You will have to go back for a follow up and then the office will order your contacts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
An eye exam for contacts is just like any other eye exam!. Unless you have special circumstances (astigmatism, misshapen cornea, etc!.) there should be no need for the doctor to check the size of your eye, or give you a special fitting!.
The doctor may have your persciption on hand if it is normal!. If you need a different perscription for each eye, or any of the above mentioned special circumstances they would have to be specially ordered!.
You will eventually become better at putting in your lenses, and also get used to the feeling of them!. Some people say they don't even feel them!. It depends on how long you have been wearing glasses!. People who have worn glasses most of their lives tend to not like how they feel!.
As far as I know you don't get to try on contacts with different colors to test them out!. It isn't like trying out new frames!.
