How much should you expect an eye prescription to change?!

Question: How much should you expect an eye prescription to change!?
A year and 10 months ago, my prescription for contacts was a -4!.0!. A year later, which was 9 months ago in January, I had another eye exam and my prescription didn't change!. I just had an eye exam today and was told that it changed to a -4!.5, so it got worse by -0!.5!. Is this a large change in the prescription, or is it normal!? I'm 20 years old, by the way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It is perfectly normal for your eyes to change!. It only went up two steps!. Yours near sighted!. Once near sighted always near sighted!. In a few years it will level off and may even go down!. Just make sure you have a back up pair of glasses!. With your prescription you can't afford to be without them!. Hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

My prescription in December 2007 was a -1!.00 on my right eye and a -1!.25 on my left!. I got a new prescription in May 2008 because my contacts were not helping much anymore!. My eyes changed!. Now I have a -1!.50 in my right eye and a -1!.75 in my left eye!. I think my eyes change about every 6 months now!.

I forgot to tell you that I am 13 now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
