Pink eye, but not pink eye. What is it?!

Question: Pink eye, but not pink eye!. What is it!?
So today I noticed my left eye was pink!. I don't think it was that way when I woke up, but I don't know for sure!. The eye hasn't been hurting, itching, tearing, or discharging at all!. It feels maybe a little swollen, but basically my only symptom is a pink colored eye!. I do wear eye make-up!. Could it just be some eyeliner or mascara irritated it or something when I rubbed my eye!? I put a cold compress on it for a few minutes and the pinkness lessened for a bit!. Didn't stay away though!. Any ideas!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Conjunctivitis is the inflammation of the surface of your eye (not the name of a bacteria)!. It can be caused by many things: bacterial or viral infection, allergies, etc!.

What you're describing can be caused by the cosmetic products you mentioned!. That is why companies have come out with hypoallergenic products: some people's eyes are sensitive to certain chemicals!. The cold compress was good to sooth the irritation, but washing your eyes / face and rinsing extra well would also help!.

If this doesn't get better after a few days, or gets worse, it would be wise to get it checked out by an eye doctor!. Most of the time a "pink eye" is not serious, but in the rare cases that it is serious, waiting even a few days to get it checked could cost you your sight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The bacteria thats cause pink eye is called Conjunctivitis, and sometimes it will only cause the pink color!. It maybe your makeup though, The best thing to do is wash your eye regularly with a clean wet rag ( warm water ) and try your best not to rub your eye and then the other as you may spred it if it is pink eye!. Also wash your pillow(s) so you dont infect the other eye!. If it is pink eye, simply cleaning it regularly will clear it up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
