Answers:
The thin lenses are measured by their index of refraction!.!.!.

Regular lenses are 1!.49

Next step up is the 1!.56 , which is 28% thinner than the 1!.49

Polycarbonate at 1!.58 is pretty well the same as the 1!.56

Then the 1!.6 which is 40% thinner than the 1!.49

Then 1!.67 which is 13% thinner than the 1!.6

Then the 1!.74 which is about 10% thinner than the 1!.67

But, there are limitations as to which one will work best for certain prescriptions!.

With a + 3!.00 that you have, you should be no higher than the 1!.6

The 1!.67 is not recommended under +/- 6!.00
The 1!.74 is not recommended under +/- 8!.00

If the index is too high it causes all kinds of problems with distortion!.

Being a + power, you will always have some of that magnifying effect, but the 1!.6 with a good anti reflection coating and a small frame should be pleasing to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have a prescription of -4!.50 in each eye!.

i tried the mega, super, ultra thinlenses and really didnt get on with them!.!.!.i was getting a lot of distortion in my peripheral vision and chromatic abberation (purple fringing on bright lights)!.

I down stepped the standard thinner lenses and now they are fine!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
