Hey I have a question...Lazy Eye?!

Question: Hey I have a question!.!.!.Lazy Eye!?
I have a lazy eye and i really didnt care, or think it was that noticable, until i saw a picture of me with it looking pretty severe!. Now I want it fixed, but I'm worried about people noticing I fixed it, (it would be embaressing for them to be like "oh hey you look more normal now") and it just seems overall shallow (but im in highschool so i'm not exactly required to be deep)!.

Any advice!?

Any information on getting it fixed!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think if it bugs you now then do something about it!. I highly doubt people are going to be like "wow you got your eye fixed"!. If they are friends anyway, they wouldn't say things like that!. You're only going to get more self conscious about it as life goes on so fix it now if you want!. And in all honesty I wouldn't worry about high school girls or guys' opinions because once you're in your 20's you'll be glad you did it and you won't even know the majority of those people anyway!. So, go for it! I didn't get my teeth fixed in high school and now I'm in my late 20's with braces!. So do it soon!Www@Answer-Health@Com

A lazy eye, on its own, *does not show*!.
This is a common confusion because quite often the laziness, amblyopia, comes with an eye that turns: squint, strabismus!.

It is quite possible to have either one without the other!.

An eye that turns, with or without amblyopia, may be treated in a variety of ways, depending on the cause!.
If there is an underlying long-sight, common if the eyes just sometimes drift in, and even if the vision is quite sharp, glasses or contacts can often make a big difference!.
Otherwise surgery is the main method employed!.

If one eye has very poor vision and turns, cosmetic glasses may be able to give the appearance of straighter eyes in some cases!. But only when there is no intention of using the vision in the poorer eye!.

You need an examination in order to find out what you have and the options open to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are not being shallow for wanting to fix your lazy eye it is a quality of life issue, and you will see better if you do it!. You will need to consult with an Ophthalmologist!. they may be able to fix it with prescription glasses, but it may require surgery!. It is possible that your Medical Insurance will cover it, check with your primary care Dr!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

title sounds like ur asking if u have a lazy eye or not but ya get it fixed i dont know anything about getting it fixed though and if people will say u look more normal now take it as a compliment how can u be emberassed about u being good!? makes no sense if u ask me just be happy and dont mind it act like u didnt hear them if that helps Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should get it fixed if it bothers you because its probably not going to improve with time!.

Things like that usually get worst and you will probably end up fixing it anyway!. It can also improve your vision if you can still see out of that eye!.
