You sound about like me!. I wanted contacts and my parents were totally set against me getting them!. Eventually, I persuaded them and now I have them!. They're not colored ones but I used to wear glasses( got glasses in 3rd grade and now I'm in 10th, got contacts at the end of 9th) and I hated glasses!. I was always wiping them off because they were dirty or I couldn't see because of the glare!.

I would suggest that you try to get uncolored contacts first!. They're cheaper then colored ones and maybe he'll think that you want them for other reasons then a different eye color!. Also, does he have insurance that'll cover them, or will he have to foot the bill!?

You need to visit the eye doctor to make sure you can wear them!. I bet you can!. You'll just need 2 different prescriptions!.

Keep trying! I cannot express what a change contacts have made for me!. I feel more confident and I believe I look better without glasses on my face!. If you really really want them, keep trying and you might just succeed! Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just had my eyes checked today and my vision is worse in my left eye!. I can still wear contacts but a different script for each eye!. Unfortunately since you are fourteen your mother or father will have to take you in for an eye exam in order to get contacts!.
In order to get your parents to agree you will have to show them you can be responsible!. Make sure you are washing your hands which is very important when putting in and taking out contacts!. If you have chores do you remember to do them without being told!? If you have pets to do remember to feed and water them without being told!? If you can show them you are responsible maybe they will let you have them!. You need to show them you would be responsible with your eye care by showing responsibility in other areas!. I would also talk to the eye doctor maybe she/he could persuade your parents!.
My son got his contacts at 14 and he has been responsible!. Good Luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are probably able to wear them, but it's a big responsibility!. You have to be sure your hands are very clean when you put them in and take them out and you can't sleep in them!. You have to be comfortable touching your eyes!. The responsibility of using contacts is probably his concern!. I didn't get them until I was probably 16 or 17!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I started wearing contacts in the 7th grade!. Each eye will get a different prescription!. When you go to the eye doctor tell him that you would like to try contacts!. Usually mine gives me a pair free to try if I am switching brands (I just got a weeks worth of dailies)!. Wear them for a few days!. See if you like them!. Only wear them for a few hours at a time too!. This way your parents will see how responsible you are with your contacts!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
