A red eye can be a sign of lots of things: infection, irritation, allergies, and more!. The only way to know for sure is to see your eye doctor, especially if the redness persists!. If you start to have symptoms like itching or pain, you should definitely see a doctor!. I agree that you should probably just stop wearing the contacts to be on the safe side until your eye clears up!.

P!.S!. There is no reason you would need to see an ophthalmologist at this point!. An optometrist is qualified to diagnose what is causing a red eye and in most cases treat it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe your eyes are just tired or overworked!. Or,you might have some sort of eye infection!. Try not to wear the contacts for a few more nights - you don't want to make it worse!. If it doesn't get better, I would see my optometrist if I were you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Contact your optometrist to make sure you haven't scratched your cornea or have an infection, and if possible, don't wear your contacts until you've had a chance to visit the eye doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

do not see an optometrist go see an ophthalmologist!. they are medical doctors, optometrist are not, there is something seriously wrong with your eyes!. that is really bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com
