Question: Will wearing my sisters glasses mess up my eyesight!?
i wear my sisters glasses sometimes, just to see how long my eyes can see in them without hurting
her prescription is -5!.50 left and -5!.75 right- what does that mean anyway!?

An ophthalmologist would almost certainly say *no*, it won't affect your eyesight!. Some people think it can make a difference!. There are no solid studies that can tell you who is right!. If you're only wearing them once in a while, not every day, not for hours at a time, there's little chance of any problems!. If you wear them a lot - almost daily for long periods - it's possible they could make a difference!. If you're younger than 16 or 18, there's a good chance you'll need glasses someday either way!. Many people are nearsighted, and it tends to run in families!. So if you did start to need glasses, you couldn't blame it on wearing your sister's glasses!. (But if you don't want to wear glasses, don't wear her glasses!. At least then you won't have to wonder if you made it happen!.)
-5!.50 & -5!.75 -- the "-" means they are for a nearsighted person (not farsighted)!. The number says how "strong" they are!. -5!.50 is fairly strong -- she can probably only see 6 or 8 inches clearly before things get blurry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It will not hurt your eyes at all thats a myth!. But your sister is significantly near sighted with a prescription like that!. There is know way that you can see clearly through those glasses if you do not have any prescription yourself!. If u where them your vision will be blurry because thats not your prescriptionWww@Answer-Health@Com
