Question: Can I punch out the fake lens in my glasses and ask my eye doc to put in prescription ones!?
I got these fake reader glasses at a store for like $10!. They're the fake wayfarer clear thick black rimmed nerdy kind!. I think they look adorable on me and I'd like to wear them anytime, even when I take my contacts out
but I was wondering if I could ask my eye doc if he was able to punch out the fake plastic clear lens in them, and replace them with my prescription lenses!. I'm not really worried about the cost right now!.

It will depend on once they see the frames if they are good enough quality to put real lenses in to!.
10 dollar frames usually aren't!.

Yes, but keep in mind that he cannot match the size of the previous lenses exactly!. Also it depends on how old these plastic glasses are that you want the lenses changed!. My husband took some of his sunglasses to get prescription lenses put in and it wasn't too expensive, but they broke 2 weeks later b/c of the stress the new lenses put on the frame and there was nothing we could do about that!. He had to buy a new pair!.

of course you can!. But you don't have to 'punch' them out!. Just give the frames with the lenses still in there to whomever fills your prescription!. All they have to do is unscrew where the frame meets together!.

sure you can!. but 10$ I don't think you want like cheap frames and like expensive lense but it's your choice you don't necessarily have to punch them out you probably need to push them out Www@Answer-Health@Com
