I'm nearsided - Should I be wearing prescription glasses at a computer monit!

Question: I'm nearsided - Should I be wearing prescription glasses at a computer monitor!?
I just got my new prescription glasses two days ago, which have helped me a great deal in seeing and reading things at a distance, but I feel uncomfortable wearing them sitting at a computer, almost to the point of the glasses causing me a headache, so I've simply resorted to taking them off at the computer!.
Is this normal!? Do nearsided individuals normally take glasses off for reading books/using a computer, etc!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Nope, you shouldn't need them at the computer!. Depending on your age, you should be able to see it just fine and no it won't make your eyes worse not wearing them!. Yes, most nearsighted people under the age of 40 and even some over that age can take their glasses off and see up close just fine!.

**You may be a little over corrected, but I would sooner say that the muscles in your eyes are just trying to adjust to going from one distance to another!. Give your glasses a little time!. Wear them all the time for a few hours each day, including while you are on the computer and then see if it gets better each day!. If it doesn't, then you may want to call your dr!. and explain the situation and see if they want to recheck the RX!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on how bad your problem is!. If it's mild, then you probably don't need to wear your glasses!. If you're severe, like I am, you have to wear glasses because you can't read the screen at all even if you're no more than a couple of feet away from it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I wear corrective lenses for distance due to astigmatism but usually remove mine when using the computer!. If you feel more comfortable not using them on the computer then do not use them!. You should use them when you need to!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it's uncomfortable then don't!. I'm the same way and I'm looking over my glasses right nowWww@Answer-Health@Com
