Answers:
You can, but you'll damage your eyes!. Overwear of contacts leads to:
-dry eye
-serious infections
-giant papillary conjunctivitis
-corneal problems (which can permanently affect your vision or blind you) including but not limited to: neovascularization, ulcers, and abrasions
-having to have the lenses surgically removed from your eyes
-not being able to wear contacts for a long time or possibly ever again

Monthly contacts are safe for 30 wears and two week lenses are good for 14 wears!. If you wear them for more than that, there is no way to get them clean and disinfected as other posters have mentioned!. The protein builds up, even if it doesn't feel uncomfortable, and your cornea will suffer from the lack of oxygen!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I use bimonthly (two weeks) contacts, and I wear them anywhere from a week to 2-3 months!. If you wear them long enough though, it'll make your eyes really dry!. Plus, there's the protein build-up, which isn't really good for your eyes!. You basically have more blood vessels emerge to supply more oxygen to the eyes!. (Use eye drops regularly!.) I used to just wear them until they ripped, but that rarely happens anymore (I've been wearing contacts for nine years), so I just replace them whenever they start to feel uncomfortable or dry immediately after I put them in!. I can usually go an entire year on 2-4 boxes of contacts (since my prescription is -7!.50 in both eyes), and it's a real money-saver!.

EDIT: What sarah's said is true, yes, but it's like those commercials for basically any type of medicine!.!.!.yes there are side effects of nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, etc!. (examples!.!.!.contacts don't cause these), but you won't die from them!. No, it's not good to have them in for longer and it can be bad for your eyes, but you won't need to seek medical attention if you do, either (in most cases)!. Liken it to drinking alcohol!. Bad side effects, some less temporary than others, but people live!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can but it is not a recommended practice, espcially as they get older!. If they are intended to be worn for a week, they should be removed once a week in order to remove the protein buildup!. This buildup gets worse as the lenses get older and pose a health issue for your eyes!. It is generally good to remove/dispose your lenses at the right intervals so that your cornea will receive enough oxygen!. Without enough oxygen, your eyes start to do things to compensate (like grow more red vessels) in addition to other unhealthy effects!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
