Assymetrical optic nerve?!

Question: Assymetrical optic nerve!?

My optometrist says he would like to dilate my eyes to have a better look at my optic nerve, which is assymetrical!. I have no problem with the procedure, but would just like to know what can an assymetrical optic nerve mean!? Can it be serious!? I am scheduled for a dilation next week!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
