When my contacts are NOT in...my eyes hurt?!
Question: When my contacts are NOT in!.!.!.my eyes hurt!?
they feel really funny when i take out my lenses!. I would go to the eye doctors to get it checked out, but unfortunately i do not have medical insurance!. i would just stop wearing contacts, however, i cannot because my eyesight is very bad without them and i do not own a pair of glasses!.

some people get so accustomed to the "barrier" effect of contacts blocking wind, breeze, air-conditioning, etc that it feels weird w/o it!. also some people also become accustomed to the wet feeling of having a high-water-content lens held on their eye all the time, and then also feel strange or naked w/o it!. neither of those are probably dangerous!.
if you're sleeping in them, stop!. also, every contact lens wearer needs a backup pair of glasses!.

I am not saying this to be offensive!. It is for your own good!. If you do not have the money to pay for regular eye health examinations and examinations occasionally needed to deal with complications of contact lens wear then you really shouldn't wear contacts at all!. It is patients like yourself who find themselves in over their head with sight threatening eye diseases because they continue to wear contacts even though they are having problems for precisely the reasons you gave!.
I can't afford the exam!. I don't have any glasses because I spent what money I did have on the contacts!. I can't see without my contacts!. SOOOO!. I will just have to keep wearing them!.

do you sleep with your contacts in!? i did thids and didnt take them out for a while \, and when i took my contacts out my eyes hurt whenever i blinked!. i would suggest not wearing them for a couple weeks!. you may have an eye infection!. you really should go to the eye doctors!. i just heard a story where someone left thir contacts in for too long and he lost eyesight in one eye because he had an infection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
