I'm an optometric doctor technician for a local vision center and our eye exams for contacts start at $95!. It is $95 for those who have worn contacts before but around $125 for people who have never worn them!. The cost difference is because if you're a first time wearer then you need to be trained on how to put lenses in and remove them!. Price varies depending on the brand of contact you're in, some start at around $17 a box!. You can find better prices online and be sure to look into rebate for buying more than one box at a time!. Hope I helped!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I go to Wal-mart's vision center!. Don't let the fact that it's a Wal-mart scare you- their staff has the same training and certification you'll find at JCPenney, America's Best, or any other chain store!. However, Wal-mart is A LOT cheaper than many other places!. I have vision insurance (Wal-mart doesn't accept mine), but it doesn't cover much and I end up paying about the same amount out of pocket as I do at Wal-mart without it, and they're much closer to me!.

I believe the eye exam is approx!. $100 or so, many of the glasses are cheap (but still pretty decent quality) and the contacts are a bargain!. I use Acuvue 2 and I think they're about $22 a box!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Contact lens exam can range in price depending on which state you live in, and what type of lenses your fitted for!. I would guess anywhere from $70 and up!. Places like Costco, Sam's Club, Walmart, etc!.!. have doctors that fit for contacts, and you can purchase them in their optical right next door which is convenient!. Costco is by far the least expensive (at least where I live), and they usually offer rebates when you purchase a certain amount of boxes at a time!. You do not have to have a membership to see the doctor's at Costco or Sam's (because they're independent and they must allow you access to the doctor for medical reasons) but you will need one to buy your contacts!. I would call around and get prices, or see where your friends/family go for their exams!. Referrals are always best!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know anyone that has vision insurance!. I go to Shopko Optical and pay about $60 for a contact eye exam!. I then get my prescription and order the contacts from www!.1800contacts!.com as it is cheaper then ordering them from Shopko!. The ones I get are $43/box!. I usually order 4 boxes at a time (2 boxes per eye) as there is a discount for that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I went to America's Best it was about $100 for three years worth of eye exams!. And my contacts are $40 for a three months supply!. So not too bad I say its a good choice!. THey have America's Best through out the country!. Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
