When reading a book, do the blurred background images "split" in two?!

Question: When reading a book, do the blurred background images "split" in two!?
Erm!.!.!.!.kind of difficult to ask precisely!. What I'm asking is, when you are doing something that requires looking at something close-up, say, reading a book, do the background surroundings of your room tend to "split" in two!? I notice they do when I'm reading, I assume because my eyes are shifting focus, but to double-check, is this normal!? Does anyone get what I mean!? If not, I'll try and provide more detail!.

Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
This is normal (and inevitable) but, unless you pay attention to it, the brain usually doesn't notice as it is concentrating on the single, in-focus, object!.
Formal term: physiological diplopia!.

It can be used with two objects (such as pencils) in line but at different differences to confirm and train binocular vision!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I just wanted to say that I am so glad you asked this question! It happens to me too, and I've never known how to explain it or what it was called!. I'm so glad to find out it's normal and that other people experience it too! :) Www@Answer-Health@Com
