I found this website about contact lenses?!

Question: I found this website about contact lenses!?
http://www!.shipmycontacts!.com/index!.asp!?!.!.!.

Do I have to have prescribed contact lenses from a doctor or can I just buy them "over the counter" sort of!. I'm not sure how you'd word that!. I am interested in wearing contacts, but getting them through a doctor costs too much and money is VERY tight right now!. Can I do it another way, and is this safe!? How do I go about doing it and knowing what's right to order for me!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
You have to have a prescription to get contact lenses!.
Even if you just want to change the color of your eyes and have 20/20 vision!.
You can go to an Optician or an Optometrist!. They have them at Walmart, Sam's Club etc!.

Then you can get you lenses anywhere you want, from the place you had your exam, or that site you found, or 1-800 CONTACTS, anywhere!.
I go to Sam's Club, my Eye Doc said they can't even beat their prices LOL

You need a doctor's perscription for any contacts even if they are zero strength (like coloured contacts for drama productions or costumes)!. Since it's a medical device that actually sits directly on your eye it's important that you know exactly what your doing with them and how to care for them and keep them sterile, otherwise you could end up with a nasty infection or, worst case, blind!.

There is probably a way to get them "under the table" but not through any strictly legal channels and you wouldn't be able to purchase them over the counter through any drugstore or company!.

If you need corrective lenses to see and require them full time contacts can be cheaper than glasses in the long run!. The contact strength you would need may be a little different then your glasses prescription because they sit directly on your eye!.

It would be unsafe to use contacts without proper training and cleaning solutions or to share somebody else's contacts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have to get a prescription from your eye doc to get contact lenses!. Then from there you can either buy them on-line or through your eye doc's office!. There are places you can get over the counter contact lenses, but that's considered risky for you don't know your prescription for your eyes!. Just ask the eye doc if you can do monthly payments or to help you figure out on what you can do for payments!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
