Question: I'm trying to get hired as an optician's assistant!?
does anyone know how difficult the job is!? i would also eventually like to become a licensed dispensing optician!.!.!. is this hard to do!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

i thought i replied but i guess not!.!. it's not a very difficult job!. you'll probably just be adjusting and repairing glasses!. you may need to have decent basic math skills, and basic algebra (for reading and transposing prescriptions)!. if you're going to do sales, you will probably have to learn different insurances, how much they cover!.!. this can be difficult, but it's something you can pick up fairly quick!.
the licensing part can be hard!. you have to learn a bunch of stuff you will probably never have to know or do normally (glass lenses properties, calculating vertex distance, etc!.) but it's good to know!. Optics is an interesting career, and there's always breakthroughs and advances in technology!. it may not be for you, but give it an honest try!. some states require licensing, others don't!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
