Hi,

I'd reccomend that you have a look at the following website: www!.lasik-eyes!.co!.uk It contains information on all the laser eye surgery providers in the UK as well as plenty of information from and for people like yourself who are about to engage in treatment!.

If you do one thing, research your treatment very well!. This is not a very well regulated industry nor is this 'like going to the dentist'!. Once you have treatment done, you cannot reverse it!.

Be weary of promises to improve your vision (this is not possible with laser) with various fancy sounding techniques (with the added increase in cost)!. I'd certainly recommend that you request to see your surgeon for an assessment prior to having the treatment (not on the day of treatment)!. Often you are quoted a particular price and treatment only for the surgeon to suggest a better/more suitable form of treatment 5 minutes before you are due to have laser!.

You certainly want to have treatment done with the people/company that you trust the most!. The above website has good information, read some of the forums about surgeons / companies etc and perhaps ask people on the site for further information about the particular individuals that are to carry out your treatment!.

Hope this helpsWww@Answer-Health@Com

I'm guessing your referring to lasik if so I had it done 2 months ago and it is well worth it! The surgery only take a total of 10 maybe 15 minutes and then it's over!. When your done they might burn a little bit so when you get home you should take a nap and by the time you get up you'll be fine! Another problem you might or might not have is eye brusing where some blood vessel will bust causing red spots all over your eye but this should clear up within 1 to 4 weeks! Other than that i think you will like it! Who wouldn't want to wake up and not have to hassle with contacts or glasses! Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know what you are having done as there is more than one type of surgery done with Laser!. I have had it for slight bleeding behind the eye due to Diabetes, I have had about four perhaps five sessions!. It's completely painless and not unpleasant at all!. It does leave you slightly more sensitive to light for a short while but no real problems!. I have heard that the sight correction op is much the same!. Don't worry you'll be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
