Do you think it's weird for me to wear my glasses all the time when I don!
Question: Do you think it's weird for me to wear my glasses all the time when I don't really need to!?
I had lasik surgery about 3 years ago because my vision got so bad they could no longer correct it with lenses!. They were going to take my driver's license away!. I'm okay with having done it, at least it's not 1970 and I'd be sitting at home drawing disability with a seeing eye dog!. Anyway, it wasn't "perfect!." My right eye is still at -!.75, but my left eye is perfect!. It was bothering me (like listening to a fuzzy radio station), so my optometrist gave me some glasses for "night time driving!." Yeah, well, forget that!. I've worn glasses since I was a little kid!. I put them on in the morning when I get up, and I take them off at night when I go to bed like I've done my whole life!.
Anyway, one of my friends told me the other day that they think it's weird I wear my glasses all the time when I don't need to!. Then, my husband admitted he thought it was weird to (he also has to wear glasses)!. Is it really that weird!? I mean, why not have perfect vision all the time!? Why just for night driving!? I have a friend who has a really low prescription, and because she is always taking them on and off, she can never find them!. Doesn't it make sense to just leave them on you face!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I also have a low prescription so I just put mine on when I'm in class and the teacher is doing something on the board!.

i think it makes sense!. tho people i know who have to wear glasses wish they didnt!. but if your vision isnt perfect w/o, i would still wear them especially if you're used to wearing them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I don't think it's weird!. It helps you see all the time, right!? Maybe you don't need them totally, but if they actually help you (even a little), it's worth it!. Like me, I only need mine for reading and computer stuff now, and I wear them whenever I feel like it, reading or not!.

I wouldn't call it weird, but if you don't need to wear them all the time then you shouldn't because your eyes will become lazy and and can actually weaken them, which is not what you want!. Try to go without them when you don't need them and only put them on if it gets uncomfortable without them!. I also wear glasses my distance is very bad but I will only wear them when I need to see something or If I'm out and I need to catch a bus and need to see the bus no, and for watching t!.v!. If i'm out with my boyfriend I reply on him to read me the menu board that they have at restaurants for specials!.
My optometrist said don't train your eyes to rely on your glasses, but if you can't see something don't strain your eyes either simple slip them on to see what you need to and take them off when you don't really need them!. But if you can see pretty well then don't wear them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
