Why is 20/20 considered normal vision?!

Question: Why is 20/20 considered normal vision!?
If so few people have it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
20/20 is not "normal" it is "average"!. It is the average vision that an eye without disease is capable of seeing!. Some see a little better, some see a little worse!.

Your statement that few people have 20/20 is incorrect!. Most people without eye disease can see 20/20!. I don't understand your comment about uncorrected vision; 20/20 being "normal" includes seeing that well with glasses!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

20/20 vision means you can see at 20 feet what a normal eye can see at 20 feet!.

That distance came from scientific calculations developed by a Dutch Ophthalmologist named Herman Snelling in 1862!.

It has to do with the angles that light enters your eye at that distance!.

It is the standard the world over!. Although every where else aside from the US uses the metric equivalent of 6 meters!.

And yes, most people do attain 20/20 vision or better, although many do just with glasses on!.

Most people who don't need glasses have 20/20 vision!.

I'm not sure why you think so few people have it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
