I heard u should change ur pair of contacts every month but y!?!? Also when i wear my contacts for several hours my eyes look bigger does anyone hav an idea y!? ik this might be stupid but i rlly would wanna know thanx!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't know how your eyes could look bigger!. My guess is your vision starts to become hazy after prolonged contact lens wear and you open them wide to improve the vision!.
It is a good idea to buy monthly disposable contacts, if not daily ones!. Protein begins to deposit over your lenses!. Not only does it impair the clarity of the lens, it irritates your eye, and predisposes to colonisation by microbes!. Coupled with prolonged daily wear, these can lead over time to a number of complications!. Severe dry eyes, Giant papillary conjunctivitis, corneal erosions/ulcerations/ ,keratitis, corneal neovascularization etc!.!.
Perfect hygiene is a must in contact lens wearers!. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water, dry them with lint-free cloth, use a clean surface, use fresh lens solution everytime (not home-made saline or saliva or tap-water!. People have lost their vision due to infections this way!. REMEMBER, WEARING CONTACTS IS ALREADY COMPROMISING YOUR EYE'S DEFENCES)!. Do not wear lenses for more than 6-8 hours, even if the pack says otherwise!.
NEVER SLEEP WITH CONTACTS ON!. The cornea is totally deprived of oxygen when the lids are closed with contacts on, leading to corneal erosions and ulcerations, edema and neovascularization!.
Take care of your lenses, use protein-removal enzyme tablets atleast weekly!. See the ophthalmologist regularly (6 monthly)!. And yes, you have to get the doctor to prescribe contacts, he will check your tear film characteristics, corneal topography etc and give you trial lenses and then decide the fit!. okay, 1!. yes you HAVE TO change them as often as your doctor told you, believe me I learned the hard way, I used to change them every 2 months when it was supposed to be every 2 weeks just to save money and I ended up getting ulcers on both my eyes (which are very painful and never go away), and it ended up costing me more money!. The reason is because disposable contacts are not designed to stay for long periods of time, they accumulate bacteria and other bad things!. 2!. My eyes used to also look bigger and darker, I think that was because contacts sometimes make the pupil dilate and put like a cover on the iris and that's why, not sure!. I guess so it doesn't get like a contamination of bacteria or something!. But i only change them whenever they rip!. its way too expensive to go by the "replace every 2 weeks"!.!.!.!. if you have colored contacts then its because the contacts expand!. i've noticed how mine are!. but if u have the clear ones i really have no idea since i don't wear those kind!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Your supposed to change them every month or you could get infections and blindness ( rare but possible)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
