Wet eyes in cold winds and dry eyes in building?!

Question: Wet eyes in cold winds and dry eyes in building!?
This morning I was riding my bike to school and the cold winds blew directly toward my face and my eyes, and my eyes became teary under the blow of the winds!. What's the cause of this!? Is it a reaction to coldness and mechanical effects of wind!?

Speaking of eye conditions, I remember a few years ago the same cold windy condition causes my eyes the same discomfort and then after I get into a building with warm air my eyes became REALLY irraitated and discomfortable (irritatiness and discomfort intensified), and I remember that there was a DRYNESS associated with irraitiness and discomfort!. If I remembered correctly that my eyes were indeed dry, what's the cause of the dryness of my eyes!?

Answers:
Yes!. The watering you noted is directly related to the movement of the cold air across the eye!. The reason your eyes became irritated indoors is related to how buildings are heated in the winter!. When air passes through a furnace and is heated rapidly the air comes out very low in humidity!. Therefore, indoor air in the winter tends to have very low humidity which can cause rapid drying of the tears in your eyes!. Have you ever noticed how many times clothing and other material will develop static electricity indoors during the winter but not so during the summer!? That is also related to the decrease in humidity in the air indoors in the winter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
