Answers:
I have had contacts for six years now and I shower in mine!. Showering with your contacts in takes a bit of time getting use to!. I lost a lot of contacts at first, but now it isn't a problem!. I don't swim with my contact in!. If I do I ware goggles and don't swim for extended an extended amount of time!. They take a lo of getting use to, but they are well worth it!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can shower with them; just be careful not to get shampoo, etc!. in your eye!. I usually shower in the morning before putting them in, but if I do decide to freshen up later in the day, I keep them in with no problem!.

I wouldn't recommend swimming, though!. Chlorine is irritating enough when you don't have plastic (which can get dry and itchy when you mix contacts with chemicals) in your eye, and, if you open your eyes under water, one could easily get washed out!. NEVER wear contacts in a lake, ocean, etc!. The bacteria in there could latch onto your lenses and cause an icky build up!. Whether you choose to swim in them or not, you should take time take them out and clean them after you get out of the water, just in case!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Basically contacts should never be around water!. They soak it up and whatever is in it and hold it against your eyes!. And anyone who says you can just keep your eyes closed or wipe the water off, yeah right!. If there is water getting on your face and around your eyes, it is also getting in your eyes!. And there is always the possibility of getting splashed when you don't expect it!.

Tap/shower water, pool water, and natural water can all have Acanthamoeba in them, which can lead to Acanthamoeba Keratitis, one of the nastiest eye infections you can get!. Just google it and look at the pictures!. This is also why you should never rinse or clean your contacts or your contact case with tap water!.

Pool water has the added chemicals, like chlroine, that can definitely be irritating, as well as any pathogens the chlorine hasn't killed!. Good-fitting goggles are a safe choice!. Hot tubs are notorious for Staph infections, and natural water (oceans, lakes) could have any kind of bacteria or man-made irritants in it!.

Obviously not everyone who wears contacts in water gets an infection, even if he or she does it all the time, as you can tell from the other posters!. To me, the chances of getting an infection are rare, but the consequences are dangerous and painful and not worth it, especially when there are alternatives!. Just put your contacts in after you shower in the morning!. Get some good-fitting goggles or some prescription goggles or wear your glasses when you go to the pool!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Showering is fine!.

I always swim in mine!. They sometimes get really dry, but have never fallen out!. Of course, this depends on the type--some people lose their contacts even just running or playing basketball, some can do all kinds of things and never lose them!.

It's really up to you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No you cant shower or swim with them, unless you can be sure that you wont get any water in them!.!.!. and you can keep your eyes open!. It can be bad for your eyes if you keep them closed for a long time with contats inWww@Answer-Health@Com

you can shower with contacts in, just be careful!. You'll get used to it!. if you spend a lot of time at the pool, resist opening your eyes under water!. I do both in mine!. I haven't lost any in 18 yrsWww@Answer-Health@Com
